Picture this: there's a 2-bedroom suite at Bonnet Creek available next Tuesday. Nobody's booked it. It's going to sit empty. Club Wyndham knows this — and they'd rather fill it at a discount than let it collect dust.
That's Bonus Time. It's the timeshare industry's version of a last-minute hotel discount, and most owners have no idea it exists — or how aggressively it can cut their costs.
How Bonus Time Works in CWUS
Bonus Time reservations are available 0 to 14 days before the arrival date. Instead of paying with points, you pay a flat cash rate. Your points stay in your account, untouched.
The cash rate varies by resort and unit size, but it's typically a fraction of what you'd pay at a comparable hotel. Think $99-$200/night for a full suite that would cost $300+ on Marriott's app.
There are some important constraints:
- Bonus Time is subject to availability — it only appears for unsold inventory
- You must be a current owner in good standing (no delinquent maintenance fees)
- It does not consume Housekeeping Credits — a significant hidden benefit
- VIP discounts can sometimes stack with Bonus Time availability
CWSP: Fun Time — A Different Animal Entirely
Club Wyndham South Pacific takes the Bonus Time concept and evolves it into two distinct programs with surprisingly different mechanics:
📋 Program Rule Extract
Fun Time allows Lifestyle Bronze and above members to pay a cash rate of AU$0.09 per creditfor available inventory. This uses "One-Time Credits" from the Club's allocation rather than your annual Vacation Credits.
Read that again: nine cents per credit. At a resort that costs 3,000 credits per night, that's AU$270 for a night in a resort suite. Your annual Vacation Credits remain completely untouched.
📋 Program Rule Extract
Extended Fun Time booking windows vary by Lifestyle tier: Bronze gets 6 months (8 months for exotic locations), Silver gets 8 months, Gold gets 9 months, Platinum gets 10 months. The higher your tier, the earlier you can access Fun Time inventory.
💎 100 Club Extended Fun Time
According to the program's Extended Fun Time rules, 100 Club members can book Extended Fun Time at Associate Resortsin Australia and New Zealand — not just Club Wyndham properties. This is unique to the 100 Club tier and doesn't exist in CWUS at any level.

The One-at-a-Time Rule (CWSP Only)
⚠️ Concurrent Reservation Limit
According to the concurrent reservation limits, you may hold only one Bonus Time reservation at a time until it is used. If you want to book at more than one resort, the stays must be for consecutive nights. This prevents gaming the system with multiple speculative Bonus Time holds, but it also means you need to plan carefully.
The Smart Play: Combine Points + Bonus Time
The real power of Bonus Time isn't using it in isolation — it's using it alongside your regular points bookings to stretch your annual allocation:
- Use points for high-value bookings — peak season, popular resorts where you need to book 10+ months out
- Use Bonus Time for spontaneous trips — last-minute getaways where inventory is available and the cash rate is reasonable
- Preserve your points for next year — every Bonus Time stay is a points-free vacation, leaving more in your account for the following Use Year
- CWSP owners: check Fun Time early — your 6-10 month booking window is much wider than CWUS's 14-day window
